Labels are printed using, amongst other things, so-called "narrow and mid-web" flexographic printing. The difference to the printing of flexible packaging lies in the size of the printing cylinder. Label printing is carried out with a smaller cylinder circumference, and the print runs are also smaller.

A frequent change of motifs, a large number of different types of content and information on the label, as well as complex designs, demand the highest print quality. Lohmann offers a broad selection of plate mounting tapes for flexographic label printing with the DuploFLEX^® 3 and 4 series. These adapt perfectly to the different requirements when printing labels.

With different foam hardnesses and adhesive properties, DuploFLEX^® 3 and 4 series adjust optimally to the respective printing job. In addition, you have the choice of 2 thicknesses (0.38 mm and 0.44 mm).

Adhesive  properties
Depending upon which print cylinder or print plate is used, the two adhesive qualities standard and plus mean the avoidance of edge lifting - the lifting of the plate at the edges during printing - as well as simple repositioning and clean  demounting after printing.

Foam carrier
The foam has optimal resilience characteristics and  minimum thickness tolerances. This ensures constant high-quality print results. Impression setting can be reduced to a minimum.

Exact choice of tapes for recurring parameters in flexographic printing

With recurring or small printing orders, the reproducibility of flexographic printing jobs is a matter of course. Similarly, the colour accuracy for the big brands has to be 100% identical.
