What is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is a globally recognized sustainability rating platform that evaluates companies based on their performance in environmental protection, fair labor practices, business ethics, and sustainable procurement. An EcoVadis rating has become a key requirement in supplier assessments and public tenders, sending a clear signal to partners and customers that a company is serious about sustainability and long-term responsibility.
Our Journey: Progress in 2024–2025
This achievement is the result of a structured and collaborative effort across the organization, driven by a clear roadmap based on the previous year’s feedback. It was made possible through the commitment of cross-functional teams across the globe – including Purchasing, SHE, HR, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, IT, Legal, Quality, and many more – guided by our Global Sustainability Office and supported by strong leadership.
Environment
- Transparent global climate and environmental data via CDP Disclosure
- Commitment to short- and mid-term climate targets through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
- Development of a comprehensive global sustainability strategy with time-bound, measurable goals
Labor & Human Rights
- Introduction of a global DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) Policy
- Implementation of a Living Wage Policy, supported by a global wage benchmarking study
- Launch of the Lohmann Academy to promote employee development
