As a part of its long-term strategy to further develop its international production network, Lohmann is merging its two Polish locations in Gdynia and Gdańsk. Production and administration will be centralized at the new headquarters in Gdańsk. The change is deliberately designed to have a long-term impact: clear structures, stable processes, and greater technological and organizational opportunities.

Synergies for greater Efficiency.
“I am particularly pleased with the solution-oriented and positive attitude of our colleagues towards integration. We will be looking for ways to overcome challenges connected with daily commutes of our team members moved from Gdynia to Gdańsk.” says Edyta Portee, Managing Director Lohmann Poland. “The diverse expertise and wealth of experience of the connected team will allow us to position our standards on a new, higher level.”

Anna Nowak, Finance, HR and Administration Director Poland, also looks to the future with confidence: “The atmosphere is good, we are growing closer together, and I am convinced that we will work even more efficiently in the future and continue to develop and produce tailor-made solutions for our customers throughout Europe.”

Short distances and more room for ideas
To Anna Chmielarz, Operations Director Poland became clear at the very early stage that the merger of the two sites could be implemented successfully. “The consolidation of our two locations marks a strategic milestone that will streamline material flow, reduce inventory and operational costs, and—most importantly—bring together teams that have been working separately, unlocking synergy, knowledge sharing, and a stronger operational culture.”

Strategic foresight
For Reiner von Domarus, Senior Vice President, Global Head Operations at Lohmann, the move is an important building block in the Agile Production Network strategy: “In an increasingly dynamic world, it is important to remain flexible – even within your own structures. Combining two geographically close locations with similar areas of responsibility creates synergies, strengthens our competitiveness, and makes us faster in coordination and response. Gdańsk is ideal for this: it has a strong infrastructure, a dedicated team, and expandable space.”

An important step into the future
With its new location in Gdańsk, Lohmann is investing in a modern production center that reduces complexity and creates space for new requirements, ideas, and growth. The goal is to continue to operate flexibly, efficiently, and reliably in the market in the future — and thus inspire customers throughout Europe with innovative adhesive solutions.
