On May 6 and 7, 2025, Lohmann opened the doors of its headquarters in Neuwied for a special industry gathering: Flexopartner 2025. Together with long-standing technology partners such as Dortschy, Flexowash, Asahi Photoproducts, Polywest, and Pamarco GmbH (formerly TLS Anilox GmbH), Lohmann provided a forum for exchange, innovation, and new ideas for the flexographic printing industry.
The two-day event, which included an in-house exhibition in the Bonding Arena®, interactive factory tours, and inspiring technical presentations—such as on the role of artificial intelligence in prepress—was all about partnership networking and technological advancement.
“The Bonding Arena was the right size, with short distances and a good layout – and the direct contact with technology partners was a real highlight for many guests,” said Dieter Niederstadt, Asahi.
The flexographic printing industry is undergoing profound change: sustainability, automation, digitalization, and a shortage of skilled workers are among the key challenges. At the same time, innovations such as AI-supported data processes, recyclable materials and intelligent printing forms offer new opportunities for sustainable solutions. The Flexopartner trade fair impressively demonstrated how important open exchange along the entire value chain – from machine manufacturers to users – is in order to find joint answers to these changes.
In addition to highly topical issues such as sustainability, automation, and the changing role of repro houses, there was also plenty of opportunity for personal networking, for example during the joint Rhine boat trip in the evening. Flexopartner 2025 shows that the future is created where strong partners meet on equal terms—with open exchange, clear perspectives, and the courage to develop together.
