Lohmann Takes Sales Excellence to the Next Level: LATS Trainings Go Global and Across Departments

Lohmann is committed to empowering its sales force to become experts in the adhesive technology field, ensuring they meet customers at eye level as (adhesive) specialists. To achieve this, the company has launched the Lohmann Adhesive Tape Specialist (LATS) training program, which has been training colleagues since 2023.

Developed by Michal Wielicki (Sales Excellence) and Peter Harendt (Head of Application Engineering BU TP), LATS is an internal training initiative aimed at equipping sales professionals with in-depth knowledge of adhesive tape technology, converting, die-cutting, and more. The program, based on the European Adhesive Specialist training, is expanding globally and now includes colleagues from markets, customer service, and application engineering.

“From the initial idea to the development of the concept through the execution of the trainings, our focus was and is to put our customers at the center our actions. Creating a strong Bonding Engineering sales team is key in supporting this commitment”, comment Peter Harendt and Michal Wielicki.

In January 2025, a new international cohort completed the final module of their LATS training, presenting their so-called "masterpieces" to patrons Dr. Jörg Pohlman (CEO Lohmann) and Daniel Germain (Global Head of BU TP at Lohmann).

The LATS training has become an integral part of Lohmann's education strategy. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand the training with expert modules.
