Dr. Carsten Herzhoff strengthens Lohmann's innovative power through new appointments to the German Institute of Invention and the OE-A

The Board of Trustees of the German Institute of Invention (D.I.E.) has appointed Dr. Carsten Herzhoff, CTO/COO at Lohmann, to the Dean's Office and the Rudolf-Diesel Board of Trustees with immediate effect.

In his new role, he will not only contribute his expertise to the work of the board of trustees, but also increase the visibility and presence of technology decision-makers in public. Carsten Herzhoff will play a central role in making the board of trustees and its importance for the German economy more tangible.


The Rudolf Diesel Board of Trustees is a prestigious body entrusted with selecting the recipients of the Rudolf Diesel Medal. Since 1952, the medal has been awarded to outstanding individuals and institutions that have made exceptional contributions in the field of invention and innovation culture. Carsten Herzhoff has been appointed to this responsible honorary position for three years, which will enable him to make a significant contribution to promoting the innovation landscape in Germany.


But that is not the only new challenge for the Lohmann COO: he has also been appointed to the board of the OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association), where he will also serve as Vice Chairman for Europe. The OE-A is the world's leading network for flexible, organic and printed electronics – an area that is driving innovation in numerous industries and has the potential to shape the future of many technologies.


This appointment is a further sign of Lohmann's commitment to becoming a leading solution provider in the field of future technologies: with passion and technical expertise, Lohmann identifies challenges at an early stage and drives innovation in the field of adhesive solutions and smart products.
In his new role, Carsten Herzhoff will act as a bridge between research institutes and industry leaders to foster partnerships and drive critical advancements and collaborations.

He will particularly advance the following topics:
