Since 2020, Lohmann has been offering so-called social sponsoring. Based on the idea that our success story of more than a hundred years is not only based on innovative ideas, quality and technological progress, we have made the assumption of social responsibility our banner. Every year, various partners from the fields of sport, culture and the common good are comprehensively sponsored.
However, our claim goes beyond the support of individual projects: With the sum of our support for groups, clubs and organizations, we want to make a contribution to strengthening society in the vicinity of our German locations and thus to social cohesion.
Although not officially founded until 2020, Lohmann can already look back on a long tradition of sponsoring. Since our foundation in 1851, we have assumed responsibility for people and the environment and are aware of our social responsibility. For example, we have been active as a member of the “Schlosstheater Foundation” since 1975. The original goal was the reconstruction and renovation of the state stage of Rhineland-Palatinate to create a venue for the local theater ensemble. In the meantime, the “Landesbühne Rheinland-Pfalz” has become one of the most popular cultural venues in the Middle Rhine region. Dr. Peter Barth, CEO at Lohmann, has been a member of the board of directors since the founding date and is a great patron of the arts.
We have also been actively involved in crisis regions and provided monetary aid following global catastrophes. In times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we donated disinfectants to regional institutions.
